WHITE DRAMA


The White Drama exhibition, located at the Docks – Cité de la Mode et du Design in Paris, gives us the opportunity to highlight the delicacy of the Comme des Garçons 2012 Spring/ Summer collection.

Since the entrance, it’s a diving in a white enchanted monochrome. Designs of the Japanese fashion designer Kei Kawakubo are presented in giant bubbles. Plastic transparency games lightly confuse creations and add a strangeness touch to this surreal atmosphere.

The highpoint of the exhibition is found in the flower petals profusion. An opulent work of blooming swallowing up the whole silhouette. Outlines seem to strip and you can only be hypnotized by the depth of those white shades. Between freshness and decomposition, this floral accumulation gives the illusion to come to life and to abound in a nearly disturbing way.
