And this spring we have new beginnings with a fresh new scent. From sweet and fruity to feminine and floral, there are endless options. But to help you girls out there in discovering a new signature, I have gathered a few of my spring favorites.

The Holy Shirt

Fresh, sharp and crisp is what equals a White Shirt. The world of fashion is predicated upon hyperbole and myth, fantasy and dreams, but there's one thing that is for real and that is the holy white shirt.

But did anyone wonder when and who invented this holiness in fashion. Well it was Empress Euguine in 1860s. She's responsible for introducing us with a Garibaldi Shirt which was a loose fitting bodice which was named after the Italian hero and was popular in both Europe and America. It was pleated in the front with black buttons, and braided in black with a turnover collar. The Garibaldi style shirt was worn by women and young girls with a full skirt. Boy’s fashions also imitated the style, taking advantage of the loose-fitting comfort of the garment.

And here we are standing 154 yrs later and these white beauties are as chic and classic as they were during the Napoleon's time. There have been endless versions across the seasons for every woman, black or white or brown.

If one wants to opt for timelessness then go grab a classic white shirt in a slim cut with the cuff ending little past your wrist.

If your game to experiment then go for a draped shirt or draped shirt dress with a beautiful cowl which would hide the right parts. You can also try it on shimmering silk pants.

There are various variations in which one can team this timeless piece- whether be it jeans or leggings or a pencil skirt or office trousers but it's uniqueness and elegance does not surpass. Whatever you do just wear it.. You'll look polished, put together and smart.

It is authoritative yet restrained, elegant yet simple and vintage yet modern.

Simple sophistication is always in style. And I am sure it is here to stay for another odd century ..

Man & His Pocket Square

Accessories maketh an outfit. This is a well known fact. Whether its a pair of cuff-links, that tie or a snazzy pair of shoes, what you wear with your suit makes it an outfit rather than just a piece of clothing.
None more so than the pocket square. It brings a  suit to life, with a dash of color, its sartorial elegance and the tradition it brings to a regular piece of clothing.

 Follow The Rules -

1. The color of your pocket square should be tonally correct to either your shirt or tie but not necessarily match directly. Though there are exceptions to this rule, for example you will have a white pocket square for your evening wear, when your shirt will certainly be white.

2. Experiment -  You do not have to go for a plain white pocket square. There are polka dotted ones, striped ones, even those that have strange textures to them. Have some fun with the colors, patterns, textures and other elements.

3. A pocket square should be present as a finishing touch, rather than the entire focal point of an outfit – it does not need to be folded into exciting shapes or spanning out across your suit, merely making you look complete in a smart sense.

4. Whether you think your pocket square is dressy or casual, really there is no such thing as long as it goes with what you are wearing.

5. One can also pair up a gingham pocket square with a very smart suit and look all the more dapper.

P.S - 1. Do not blow your nose in a pocket square.

        2. If the pocket square makes your breast pocket bulge too much, the changes are you either need a smaller one or you need to refold it.

Do check below to learn how to fold it correctly.

The one true skill of all Pocket Square wearers is in the folding. There are some exceptionally simple ones that work really well but if you are truly an aficionado then having intricate folding patterns show an extreme skill set and love for style. Indeed, it would suit some of the more exotic patterns or colors of the pocket square.

It is rather small – albeit important – accessory that is often overlooked or added as a mere afterthought.

Tie or No Tie; Formal or Casual; Day or Night; A Pocket Square exudes class and style. Pick one up today, you won’t regret it.

So, what's there in your pocket man :P
